DAY 1
LA SERENA

-Arrival to La Serena Airport. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
-Breakfast at the Hotel.
-City Tour through the center of La Serena with its Museum famous for its exhibition of the Diaguitas Culture. We will then visit La Recova, a market with local handcrafts. From there we will head for San Francisco de Aguirre Avenue with its open air sculpture museum and the Monumental Lighthouse. We will then begin a 5 ½ miles drive along the beachfront with its hotels, cabins, restaurants and gardens until the Peñuelas beach and the Casino of Coquimbo in the picturesque town of Coquimbo.
-Return to the hotel in La Serena. Overnight.

DAY 2
VALLE DEL ELQUI

-Breakfast at the Hotel.
-We will depart along Route 41 which takes us to the Elqui Valley, passing next to vineyards and plantations of papayas and other regional fruits. In the town of Vicuña we will visit the house of the Nobel Prize wining poet, Gabriela Mistral, a replica of her house as well as the main square, the cathedral and the Bouer tower. Continuing along the Mistralian Route we will pass through Rivadavia and Montegrande to arrive to Pisco Elqui where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the town and the Pisco distillery where we will get to know the distilling process and also have the chance to sample Chile’ s national drink. On the return trip we will visit Gabriela Mistral’s grave and the Zhen art gallery
-Return to the hotel in La Serena. Overnight.
